This story gave me the ability to create a vibrant artificial world based off of my own dating experience, or never-ending cycle of bad boyfriends. It was a way of showing my personal style and voice while articulating the feeling I had internally (this is the void into which I would scream). It's inspired by a crayon drawing of a woman at a desk guiding a line of men to fall into a trap door. Color, food, and cringe build my sickeningly sweet experience very much inspired by the 50s, but as a gender-swapped narrative.
