I chose to tell this specific story because it captured a deeply personal and relatable experience of immigration, cultural adjustment, and the longing for familial connection. I first came to America in 2023 for higher education but somewhere along the journey, I began to question why I even came. The dreams and expectations I had were somewhat rendered useless by the hustle of American society. While adjusting to this new way of life, I realized how important my mom's presence has been to me. So this film is a little poem I made for her.
