Double O Roos - Sundance Collab

Roos van der Jagt is a filmmaker, multimedia artist and creative director working at the intersection of cinema, visual culture, artificial intelligence and narrative design. Through her studio Double O Roos and her foundation Earth Rising, she develops cinematic films, visual worlds, characters and short-form experiments using tools such as Hailuo AI, PixVerse, Kling, Midjourney, ElevenLabs and Suno. Her recent projects include Miss Algorithmique, Missile Tone, Timeless, Esther and MAX, where she works as writer, director, visual concept developer, prompt director, editor and production lead. Her earlier short film Taro was selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam and named “One to Watch” by the Cannes Short Film Corner. An Adobe Insider, Roos explores AI as a new cinematic language for emotional storytelling, independent filmmaking and visual authorship.

During the first Lockdown I lost my "Daytime Job", I started studying and got my micro Masters Integrated Digital Media at New York University. I designed an application as a graduation project. I made a movie related to that application because I found it fascinating. It's called Taro named after the famous Tarot games. Barbie dolls as artefacts or "remixed" objects, a new goal in life, touching topics such as racism and homophobia. It is mysticism, magical. I wanted to produce a video that reflects current society.* The International Film Festival Rotterdam has screening my short film in 2022
