What happens when a simple daily chore turns into a game of patience, rivalry, and unexpected romance? A young man waiting his turn at the water tap, finds himself tangled in a playful battle with two aunties. But when a new girl enters the scene, things take a charming twist.

An afternoon on terrace is a story about a mom and her son, discovering each other's feelings during the time of distress. The terrace has been divided between brighter and shadowed portion. The son makes noise with dry leaves and flowers to get his mom's attention. Things get tougher when she wants to go downstairs, worrying the son because it might not be safe. The talk gets really intense. They sit together, thinking about their relationship without saying much. The story mixes family, personal issues, and the support of being together.

The film represents a conversation between two young people around the trolling of Naaz Patel and patriarchy surrounding them. Dwelling into the conversation, they touch various anti-feminist comments. Like a political leader saying that women wearing ripped jeans are not civilised and questioning on India being equally free for all genders.

The pain of losing your dear one is a very hard thing to process. And as an Indian family, we certainly do not have conversations around it. This film captures the way people deal with it and comes to know about different coping mechanisms and how these methods can keep them going on. Starting with a dot to an infinite wave of water which helps the characters in the film to acknowledge, all those uncertainties and sufferings of life.
