I researched the film by looking at the trailer, other clips, I could find and watching interviews with the director and one of his shorts on Youtube. I noticed both traditional and electronic influences and picked up that the film was folkore, religious and spiritual/magical. So I tried to capture that in the short clip. Synths, guitar, a theremin and sound effects picked up with my ZoomH6 recorder were all used. I looked up traditional Argentinian music and landed on Milanga, whose influence is present in the guitar playing. A tango wouldn't be right and the slow pensive Milanga finger pick is a better choice for this clip.I also looked up traditional Argentinian religious music. I couldn't fit a religious tune into the score but elements of an old old old Argentinian religious hymn are in the synth parts. Little pieces anyway.
