Patricia Torres is a classically trained vocalist and multidisciplinary artist based in San Antonio, Texas. Her creative practice spans music production, film scoring, poetry, visual art, and screenwriting, rooted in themes of survival, transformation, and social consciousness. She blends cinematic soundscapes with electronic music and introspective writing to create immersive works that bridge art and activism. Her journey includes early recognition in vocal performance, a production debut with Creative Armenia’s global 7 Note Challenge founded by Grammy-winning artist Serj Tankian, and features in the City of San Antonio’s Local Music Spotlight. Her poetry has also been showcased at Ruby City Museum during National Poetry Month. Patricia has been selected for mentorship and collaboration opportunities with Grammy-winning producers and artists, including Finneas, Laufey, Linda Perry, and Illangelo. She earned a scholarship to IO Music Academy in Hollywood, where she refined her skills in sound design and production, and later studied at Studios La Fabrique in Avignon, France, through the prestigious Mix With The Masters program. She has also showcased her work at legendary EastWest Studios in Los Angeles. A first-generation college graduate with a background in psychology and sociology, Patricia integrates research and advocacy into her creative practice. For my soundscape, I focused on evoking the psychological terror at the heart of Project MKHEXE, the sensation that something unseen is encroaching just beyond comprehension. Rather than relying on jump-scare tactics, I built layers of dissonant textures, distorted environmental sounds, and unsettling tonal elements to blur the boundary between reality and hallucination. Subtle shifts in space and frequency mimic the feeling of an unstable mind unraveling under the weight of paranoia. My approach was to treat sound as the hidden antagonist, the anomaly itself. Each element is designed to feel organic yet unnatural, as if the forest itself were breathing and alive with an ominous presence. Metallic echoes and warped resonances create a sense of closeness and disorientation, immersing the audience in a world where fear is felt before it is understood.
