I chose to tell this story because it reflects the struggles and resilience of many women I’ve known, including those in my own family and community. Running Shosh is more than just a film. It’s a tribute to the women whose dreams were put on hold due to life’s challenges. The story is close to my heart because it speaks to the power of never giving up, no matter the obstacles. This short is a proof of concept for a larger film, and through it, I hope to inspire others to chase their dreams, just as our protagonist, Carol does.
