In 2021 I learned that my best friend took his own life. I didn't know how to cope with his passing, so I created a visual album to express how I was feeling. Journey was created to normalize the grieving process and to teach people that there are healthy ways to cope with loss through artistic expression, community support, and introspection. Journey contains 8 original songs/music videos, 5 conversations, and is set in Richmond, Virginia. The film has been abbreviated from 43 minutes to 15 minutes for this competition.
