Twenty-three years later, a Chinese adoptee reunites with her birth mother and asks an important question. Set entirely within the filmmaker's own imagination as an adoptee, the film invites us to reflect on imagination as a tool for reclaiming our personal histories when concrete knowledge has been lost or erased.
