Hi! I'm Max, an NYC-based screenwriter, director, producer, and actor! My films have played at multiple film festivals and my latest film "blank squares" won "Best Screenplay" at the Reel City Film Festival. I like to tell coming of age dramas and comedies, focusing on making my stories as authentic as possible.

Mr. Collins is a high school teacher Math teacher. He's always had great relationships with his students, but today, no one's in class. In fact, no one's been in his classroom in over a year, because of COVID-19. He tries to make the best out of it, to make his class like it was, but it's just impossible, especially with all of the students' cameras turned off. When he comes to a stunning realization, he lets his students know how he truly feels about everything.

Music has always been a part of my life and there's no doubt my grandma's influence had something to do with it. I've always wondered about her passion for music and when I noticed she was hesitant to practice, I had that magical feeling that all filmmakers get. A voice inside of me telling me that I had to make a film about this. And while I intended to make this a sweet introspective piece about aging and one's relationship with music, there's no way I could've predicted how deep the film ended up being.
My Mom Is

When Audrey gets in an invitation to hang out with a boy she pleads with her mother to let her leave. After the ensuing disaster of her mother's tirade, Audrey confronts the reality of her life compared to how she thought she was living it.

After hearing some of the stories my friend told me about being an undecided major, I felt compelled to write and make the film. I think it says a lot on how we treat women and how people feel they can topple over someone just because they haven't decided what they're gonna do for the rest of their life yet. Choosing a major is an extremely hard decision and I wanted to make a film that not only conveyed this message but in a light-hearted way, so anyone could enjoy it.
