Matthew Rosenberg

I wrote this film when I was spending a lot of time driving up and down the coast of California (from my home in Santa Cruz to my university in Northridge) in 2021. At the time I was living alone and none of my friends had returned to Los Angeles after the pandemic so I was basically completed isolated. I wrote this film to try and capture my fears of being overly needy to those who weren't there and to try and articulate the anxiety of trying to understand what they were feeling without their physical presence.
