"Log from site A" is a short experimental documentary about the western scientific practice of using deconstruction and fragmentation to understand relationships. We are scientists at a university lab and we wanted to tell the anti-story of our ecology project. We study the toxicity of Sonoran Desert toads, but where we found toxins we lost a toad song. This is the flip-book of things we found but couldn’t explain. I offer a film, although what I really owe is a song to the Tucson desert.
