Marietta is a Swedish screenwriter for TV and film, and an international script consultant. Films she has consulted on have competed in film festivals around the world and include THE BABADOOK, NANCY, HUNTING SEASON, H., DIAMOND ISLAND, THE FITS, LE QUATTRO VOLTE, THE HEIRESSES, THE LOAD, MEDITERRANEA, PORT AUTHORITY, SOLE, LITIGANTE, YALDA, PARI, SVINALÄNGORNA, TOO LATE TO DIE YOUNG, POP AYE, DA DOG SHOW, BASHATA (THE FATHER), CHILDREN OF SARAJEVO, JESUS, BLANKA, and others.


Over the past 12 years, she has worked as a script consultant with Sundance Labs, Torino Film Lab, Binger Amsterdam, Biennale College Venice, Feature Expanded, Hezayah (Doha), Tiff Studio Toronto FF, Cinelink Drama Sarajevo, Bridging the Dragon, Talent Campus, MidPoint, Fly Film Lab and Locarno Open Doors. 


Her work with filmmakers has spanned many countries, including Russia, China, Nepal, Myanmar, Philippines, South Korea and Pakistan.   


Over the years she worked extensively developing and writing TV series, both for the National Scandinavian broadcasters and commercial production companies such as Pearson/Freemantle. She recently wrote for Adam Price’s (BORGEN) new Netflix series. She is represented by Albatros Agency and ICM Partners. 


Her feature film CALL GIRL won awards at festivals in Toronto (Fipresci award), Torino, Stockholm, Buenos Aires and Taipei. 


Marietta studied Film and TV at Tisch School of the Arts and is a voting member of the European Film Academy.
