Mariana is a filmmaker with an international career, educated in the United States. Her debut feature documentary, Scab Vendor, about legendary tattoo artist Jonathan Shaw, premiered at the Warsaw Film Festival and was featured at events such as DokFest, ZagrebDox, Visioni dal Mondo, BAFICI, Austin Film Festival, and Festival do Rio. Having participated in labs such as TorinoFilmLab, Blood Window, and Series Mania, Mariana works on both authorial and collaborative projects across Brazil, Latin America, and the United States. She has developed series for companies such as Conspiração Filmes, Amazon, and Anonymous Content Brazil, among others. Her series The Lost Ones, winner of the SoloSeries award at Ventana Sur, is currently in development with Espotlight, in partnership with co-creator Jotagá Crema (3%). She is currently in pre-production for Retratos do Rock, a documentary that revisits the history of Brazilian music since the 1980s through the lens of photographer Rui Mendes, featuring never-before-seen backstage footage. In 2025, she is taking part in the prestigious Nipkow Residency in Berlin with her fiction feature Aos Meus Antigos Amigos. Mariana is represented by Bradley Glenn (Buchwald, USA) and Juliana Vedovato (Talents, Brazil).
