Whispering in the Leaves is the short story of a father and daughter. From the airport, they will travel along a chaotic path--the father is grieving the recent loss of his mother, and has just returned from India after saying his final goodbyes. The daughter had wished to go along with him but was not allowed. She is at the airport to pick him up, and in the car ride home, she grapples with the disappointment she feels of not having been able to join him. She attempts to hold back from unleashing such feelings on to her grieving father.
