Lisanne Sartor
Director/Screenwriter
Los Angeles, California, United States
I am an award-winning writer/director whose short films have screened at hundreds of worldwide festivals, including Telluride and Cannes. An alumna of the AFI Director Workshop for Women, the AFI/Fox Bridge Program and Yaddo, Hedgebrook, Storyknife and Gulkistan residencies, I was a DGA assistant director for seven years at the beginning of my career. I left AD’ing to become a screenwriter and went to UCLA to get my MFA in screenwriting. I’ve had assignments with various companies and had an original script made into a Lifetime MOW. I’ve directed five shorts and am in the process of funding and casting my first feature to direct. I’ve written over twenty-five scripts, not including my short scripts. My goal is to write and direct for TV, network, cable and web, while continuing to write and direct features.
