Recently, I've been exploring the theme of perfection in my work. So for this film, I wanted to tell a story about someone whose potential is never enough. This insecurity is something I've dealt with and think others can relate to. I chose to tell this story through on-screen physical exertion, such as intense training, to match the character's emotions with concrete visceral experiences. The dark themes in the film serve as a cautionary tale of someone so insecure about themselves that they would physically alter their body and even risk their life.
