Laura Nix recently directed Inventing Tomorrow (Sundance US Documentary Competition, CPH:DOX 2018), and was named a Chicken & Egg Breakthrough Filmmaker, a prestigious award given to experienced US-based women filmmakers. Nix previously directed The Yes Men Are Revolting, (TIFF 2014, Berlinale 2015), The Light in Her Eyes (IDFA), The Politics of Fur (Grand Jury Prize, Outfest), and Whether You Like It Or Not. She’s the recipient of the Sundance Institute/Discovery Impact Fellowship. Her work has screened theatrically domestically and internationally, on New York Times Op-Docs, and on television via HBO, PBS, Arte, ZDF, VPRO, CBC, NHK, and Canal+.
