My earliest memory of my father is him describing how he wishes for nothing more than to be alone in little house by the water. This film was created out of necessity and desire to both understand and center immigrant fathers in the diaspora. While most immigrant stories deal with assimilation upon arrival, this film aims to illustrate the heartbreaking reality and retrospective question that lingers amongst many of our households - was it worth it?
