Keith Davis

Alabama native, Keith L. Davis is an accomplished filmmaker and actor based in Brooklyn, NYC. Before pursuing filmmaking, he trained at the Yale School of Drama, and his acting career includes performing in various off-broadway (Hoodoo Love), broadway (Festen, Julius Caesar), television (Law & Order, Guiding Light) and film (De Dominee) productions. Subsequently, he studied at New York University's Graduate Film program, and as a writer/director, his shorts have screened at Chicago International Film Festival, Palm Springs Shortfest, Urbanworld, Athens International Film+Video and Rooftop among others. 

His debut narrative feature, The American People, is currently being supported by the Sundance Feature Film Program where he was a Screenwriting and Directing Fellow. While at the Labs, Sundance awarded Keith the Lynn Auerbach Screenwriting Fellowship, as well as the Honda Motors, sponsored Power of Dreams Fellowship for directing. 

Keith also currently works for VICE Weekly on HBO and teaches at Pratt University. During his off-hours, you can find him spending his time (as a new dad) teaching his 15-month-old daughter how to wink.
