Senior Vice President of Original Programming, STARZ

As a STARZ Senior Vice President of Original Programming, Kathryn Tyus-Adair has championed the development and production of a wide range of programming for the network's premium cable audience, including POWER, OUTLANDER, VIDA, THE SPANISH PRINCESS, as well as upcoming series BLINDSPOTTING, RUN THE WORLD, DANGEROUS LIASONS, STEP UP, and BLACK MAFIA FAMILY.

Before joining STARZ, Kathryn oversaw TV and film development and production for industry icons Robert Redford, Halle Berry, Don Cheadle, Curtis Hanson, George Tillman, Jr. and Alan Pakula.

With Don Cheadle's company Crescendo Productions, Kathryn produced the film ST. VINCENT starring Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy and Naomi Watts. She was also Crescendo's executive for Showtime's HOUSE OF LIES cable series and Sony Pictures Classics' film THE GUARD, which starred Brendan Gleeson.

Kathryn's film and TV work with Robert Redford's Wildwood Entertainment included Steve Zaillian's legal drama A CIVIL ACTION and Eric Roth's and Richard LaGravanese's film adaptation of the bestselling novel THE HORSE WHISPERER.

Her earlier television work included series development for Sesame Street producers Children's Television Workshop.

She later championed acclaimed Showtime series SOUL FOOD and the films BARBERSHOP and MEN OF HONOR for writer/director George Tillman's State Street Pictures.

Prior to joining Starz, Kathryn segued to the buyer side of the business as a Drama Development executive for NBCUniversal's UTV Studios, selling and developing series across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.
