Kate Mansberger - Sundance Collab

I am a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Radio-Television-Film, and a minor in Business Foundations. I am interested in producing feature films primarily, but I am also interested in writing screenplays and short stories. I have a podcast called Movie Nights With My Ex with my actual ex-boyfriend where we share film opinions and fight over the TV remote at our shared living space. My other interests include vintage fashion, reading any and all Joan Didion, Octavia E. Butler, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie novels, and true crime podcasts!

Your mood is one of the first things people will notice about you. Kate vehemently relates to Lola. Kate wrote short story Lola’s Bucket of Paint to put into words the way that anxieties can twist every feeling we have into a colorfully complicated mess. Never feeling like anxiety could divorce itself from the moods she was putting out into the world, bringing this short story to life in a film was the best way that Kate could visualize the feeling of crippling chartreuse, innocent indigo, spontaneous sunflower, and belligerent burgundy.
