Junhao(Mike) Zhang is born in Shanghai, China. Currently pursing MFA Directing at UCLA, Mike is committed to crafting visually-driven narratives that hit you hard. Mentored by Tim Palmer, BSC, he has honed his craft through years of professional work across Boston's commercial, short film, and documentary spheres. He was also a Cinematographer and Editor at the Above Summit Films, an Emmy Award winning production studio. Their film credits include Knives Out, the 2021 Cannes and Sundance main‑competition title John and the Hole, and the 2023 Emmy Award‑winning series Murder in Boston.
