Julian Sol Jordan
Julian Sol Jordan is a multidisciplinary filmmaker and musician from Dallas, Texas. His work examines memory, transformation, the passage of time, and the human experience. A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and a YoungArts alumnus, Julian began making films as a child, running around with a camera alongside friends and family. He developed a deeply intuitive, hands-on approach, often directing, shooting, and editing his own work. He also holds degrees in Media Studies and Film. Julian has worked on various music videos, shorts, and feature films, including his solo-crafted feature-length essay 'Real Life.' He is also the editor of the upcoming feature film, 'El Tonto Por Cristo' and is currently working on his short-form work. As one half of indie duo Sunrise Academy, he crafted the band’s visual identity; the duo has gone viral online. He is completing their debut album while developing his first narrative feature-length script.
