We glimpse into the life of a young man in a fractured state. While he plays off his substance-abuse with endless excuses & self-deprecating humor, his problems reach a boiling point during a binge gone-awry. An awkwardly dark comedy, we are unsure whether or not we are allowed to laugh given the current of pain underscoring the humor. Inspired by experiences of a close family member battling addiction, some aspects weave together real-life experiences. The absurdity hopefully acts as a solvent to distill the pain of the protagonist into a clearer, more-honest representation, that rings true to for those struggling.
