Jonathan Logan

This story was made in remembrance of the words spoken by my mother and many black mothers in urban neighborhoods. Growing up in Brooklyn, NY my friends and I learned the words "before the streetlights" were not simply a reminder to get home but a plea for safety against the violence and dangers that had consumed many of our peers and loved ones. This story looks to show a moment of grief and loss and places a focus on the things that we do and keep to process through those moments.
