After moving back to their hometown in Wyoming, a family starts a ranch for special needs children, hoping to provide a sanctuary where everyone can feel like they belong.

After I started college and began the next step of my life as a young adult, I quickly had the realization that life is so much more complicated than what I thought. I had so many questions, frustrations, and excitements about everything. So I decided to put my feelings and thoughts about this stage of life into a short film about a teen who goes through similar experiences in college, with a crime thriller twist.

This film grew from my fear of what comes after death and the guilt of time lost with the person who raised me, my grandmother. Seven years since the last visit, I returned to China. My grandmother is now almost ninety, and the possibility that this might be our last time together pushed me to reflect on what gives meaning to the time we have. This experimental documentary captures how we live, love and imagine tomorrow. When it was time to leave, our goodbye held not only sadness, but sweetness, two people still choosing hope as time moves on.
