Jacqueline Murphy is an award-winning actress, screenwriter director, and filmmaker. Her short film “The Admired” (2017) which she starred in, created, produced, directed, and co-wrote has won over 50 film festival awards. She made the short film into a Web Series and submitted in 2018 for the FYC EMMY nomination race in the Short Form Drama Category She’s now writing "The Admired" TV pilot and developing it into a TV Series. Currently working on her second draft of her first feature film “Yellowbird and the Titan”. It’s a personal story based on her experience when she was a Registered Nurse in NYC in the 90’s and deals with the opioid crisis. Recently completed Sundance Co//ab TV Writing Core Elements Course and is an Alumni member of ScreenwritingU ProSeries where she wrote “Yellowbird” (a street slang for opioids) this summer. In her twenties Jacqueline received her BSN & RN Degree. Shortly after she completed acting school at AADA & Stella Adler she was discovered by ABC-"All My Children” and cast in a recurring role as Nurse Thomas & medically consulted as well. While living in NYC she worked with director Martin Scorsese in "Goodfellas", Woody Allen in "Hannah and Her Sister's" & “Radio Days” , Mike Nichols in "Regarding Henry", Ron Howard in "The Paper", Nora Ephron in "Mixed Nuts", Barbet Schroeder in "Kiss of Death", Leonard Nimoy "3 Men & A Baby", Kevin Smith in "Cop Out" and was in Warner Brothers film "Run All Night" where she had scenes with Liam Neeson & Ed Harris.. She has also Guest starred in many NY TV shows including: Law & Order, Law and Order: Criminal Intent as well as been cast in many Indy Films.
