My name is Ian Severino, and I am an aspiring filmmaker and a third-year student at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa (UH Mānoa). I am currently working toward a BA in Creative Media with a focus on UH Mānoa's Digital Cinema track in the Academy for Creative Media's (ACM) program. After only two years in the program, I have had the opportunity to make several of my own short films while also collaborating with my peers on an assortment of other film-related projects as well. My primary focus is on improving my skills as a director and a writer for the screen, but I remain just as eager to apply my skills, when called upon, in the areas of sound design, video editing, and cinematography. As a filmmaker, I seek to tell small, yet grand stories that also pay homage to the local culture of Hawai'i.
