Georgia Brogan

Georgia Brogan is an Australian director, writer and photographer and a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Communications (Media Arts & Production) at UTS. Her photography demonstrates a strong cinematic visual style, which led her to be the youngest ever winner of the Australian Life Photo Prize in 2021. In 2023, Georgia wrote and directed absurdist comedy short Period Party, a tender exploration of eating disorders, womanhood and fraught family dynamics. Period Party premiered at SXSW Sydney, screened in competition at BFI Future Film Festival in London where it was a finalist for Best International Fiction, and has since screened at several other festivals around the world. Georgia is currently in post-production on her second short film Koan, with support from the Blackbird Foundation Protostars micro-grant.
