I choose to tell this story for myself as a reminder to see and recognise the patterns of abuse I keep falling prey to. To raise my voice against security assault, and empathise with the victim rather than shaming them for the crime that was committed against them. My story has an incident where the protagonist has to actually face the repressed version of herself, bare her then only can she move forward by accepting those scars and treating them with care.
