I love utilizing the horror genre as a space to communicate difficult feelings or ideas as an artist, mainly because it gives itself to exaggeration and surrealism more than most areas of film. With this story, I wanted to explore and validate the raw feeling many creatives experience: how our minds can fall into believing that one’s art must be a direct extension of themself if it is to ever carry worth. I carry this anxiety with me a lot and expelling it into a gritty narrative that others may be pulled to is what I seem to love doing!
