Artist Daniel Peddle has directed six feature films including Moss (2017), starring Mitchell Slaggert (The Sex Lives of College Girls), who Peddle discovered. Through his work as a “street scout” and co-owner of the international casting company The Secret Gallery, Peddle also discovered actress Jennifer Lawrence and more recently newcomer Daniel Puig (Gran Turismo).

His latest feature, a New York Times Critic’s Pick and winner of the 2024 GLAAD Award for Outstanding Documentary, Beyond the Aggressives: 25 Years Later, is a follow-up to his debut film, The Aggressives (2005), a seminal work on masculine-presenting queer people of color assigned female at birth. Both films are currently available on Showtime/Paramount+.

Film projects in development include Rose Moon, an unconventional love story inspired by true events, and I, Model, a docuseries on the modeling industry. Peddle studied Anthropology at UNC-Chapel Hill and attended Graduate Film School at NYU. He lives in Los Angeles and is represented by UTA.
