Christina Sibul

Sundance Advisor //

Christina Sibul is a veteran producer, production consultant, and industry executive. Recent credits as a producer include MONICA (EP) starring Trace Lysette and Patti Clarkson, just released via IFC Films. MONICA was directed by Andrea Pallaoro and stars Trace Lysette and Patricia Clarkson. She also produced the highly regarded BUTTER, starring Mira Sorvino. Monica premiered in competition at the 2022 Venice Film Festival, nominated for the Golden and Queer Lion, winning the Arca Award for Best Italian Film. MONICA recently released to rave reviews, covered by The VIew, a Critic's Pick of the NY Times and was named "the Movie You Must See in 2023" by the Daily BEast. She also recently consulted on Paramount’s ON THE COME UP for Director and Actress Sanaa Lathan, with whom she has several projects in development, including ALL IN with Maven Screen Media.

Other past credits include SIDEWAYS, Catherine Hardwicke’s THIRTEEN, Tom McCarthy’s THE STATION AGENT and THE VISITOR, HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG for Dreamworks, LORDS OF DOGTOWN for Sony, 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS for Working Title/Universal, TRAFFIK and many more, especially for Lionsgate/Codeblack. Her movies have won Academy Awards, BAFTA Awards and Spirit Awards among others. MONICA itself has been nominated for the Golden Lion and Queer Lion (Venice) and so far has won the ARCA Award at Venice (Best Italian Film), as well as winning best picture at the Annecy Film Festival in Italy.

Christina is a graduate of Yale School of Drama, and is a proud faculty member at CSUN's CTVA Film School, the only HSI serving institution that is also a top 20 Film School. Her life and career has been a commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. not only in film education, but in production and creative development practice.
