Charmaine DeGraté is an American film and television Writer-Executive Producer. Her current projects include the upcoming series HBO’s Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon and Reese Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine’s Daisy Jones & The Six.
DeGraté, who received The August Wilson Playwright Fellowship at the age of sixteen while attending Milton Academy, graduated from Vassar College with a double major in Political science and English literature. As a student, she produced plays at the Powerhouse Theatre in Poughkeepsie, NY. During summers, she served as a Congressional intern in Washington, DC.
Throughout her professional career, DeGraté has written, produced, and developed projects for HBO, Amazon, Netflix, Apple TV+, Warner Bros, Disney, Universal Studios, ABC, and Lucasfilm.
Her television credits include Co-Executive Producer and Writer on Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon from HBO; Amazon’s Daisy Jones &The Six from Hello Sunshine; and the critically acclaimed sci-fi series, The 100 on Netflix.
20th Century Fox TV Studio has purchased DeGraté’s adaption of The Transatlantic Marriage Bureau: Husband Hunting in the Gilded Age: How American Heiresses Conquered the Aristocracy. DeGraté is attached as Creator, Showrunner and Executive Producer.
Charmaine is currently developing a feature film project with Margot Robbie, Christina Hodson and Lucky Chap Entertainment in addition to a sci-fi/fantasy series for Warner Bros. Television.
