Caitlin McCarthy wrote the original screenplay for the upcoming feature film LITTLE AUDREY and served as associate producer. Directed and produced by Michael Mailer, alongside producers Jeff Thomas and John Buffalo Mailer, the film stars Emily VanCamp, Jennifer Esposito, Aidan Quinn, and Josh Bowman. Caitlin is also co-creating the TV series GAELS with Lynsey Murdoch (BBC Scottish Voices), with support from the Scottish Government and the National Lottery through Creative Scotland. An inaugural Sundance Institute Cultural Impact Fellow and participant in the inaugural TikTok x Sundance Collab microseries program, Caitlin has been recognized as a Top 10 Female Writer in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, a “Featured Script” writer on The Black List website, and a Massachusetts Cultural Council Dramatic Writing Fellow. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College. As an American, she is a proud member of the Métis Nation of Canada and the Métis Federation of Canada.
