Brandon Vedder

Brandon Vedder is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. He began his career making concert films for acts like Pearl Jam, The Buzzcocks, Wu-Tang Clan, Lauryn Hill and others before he moved into the more traditional documentary space. Brandon has been making and releasing films for over 20 years beginning with his work alongside Transcendental Media on LA SOURCE in 2013 which was narrated by Academy Award-nominated actor, Don Cheadle and released theatrically.

The following years had Brandon following LA’s major league soccer team, The LA Galaxy, for an 8 part documentary series and holed up in an hospital in the California desert making the documentary short, A CERTAIN KIND OF LIGHT, which went on to win 6 best short documentary awards on the festival circuit and was distributed by PBS. Brandon teamed up with Transcendental media again in 2016 for IN PURSUIT OF SILENCE which premiered at SXSW and went on to be released in 150+ theaters in 8 countries via The Cinema Guild and ROCO films. In 2019 Brandon premiered his hard-fought passion project, STRANGE NEGOTIATIONS at SXSW and was able to sneak in a 30 city theatrical run before the pandemic shut the world down.

Brandon has taught documentary master classes for The Northwest Film Forum and guest lectured for Stanford University and several colleges in the California State University system.
