Bonsu Thompson is a writer, producer and Brooklynite who has cowrittten award winning film (2018 Manhattan Film Festival Winner: STORY AVE), produced on feature-length documentaries (Can’t Stop Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story), created and executive produced a digital documentary series (BET.com’s PRELUDE) and commanded media titles such as Editor-In- Chief of The Source, Creative Consultant (writer) for MTV2, Senior Writer at SLAM Magazine and Music Editor for XXL Magazine.
The cultural engineer’s vision, ideation and creativity in the marketing and branding space has satisfied powerhouse brands such as NIKE, Hennessy, Apple Music, Translation, Stoli and Beats By Dre, to list a few.
Mr. Thompson has interviewed and written on some of the grandest names in entertainment––Music (Jay-Z, Clive Davis), Hollywood (Chadwick Boseman, Dan Akroyd), Sports (Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony), Culture (Shepard Fairey, Oshea Jackson)–– while outsourcing his pen to esteemed publications like NPR, Billboard, and Bleacher Report. In 2019, Bonsu became a fellow of both Winter and Summer 2019 Sundance Screenwriters Labs.
