Tamara Scherbak has written and directed numerous short films, music videos and installations such as “Dedashka”, winner of Best Director at the Festiv’elles Film Festival for women filmmakers and “Only Sky & Water”, which screened in competition at the Hot Docs Film Festival. Tamara was 1 of 9 writers selected for the Berlinale Talents Short Film Station with her script “Is Your Teen a Homosexual?”. She has also been selected as a writer/director for Talent Labs such as at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Netflix-Banff Diversity of Voices Initiative and filmmaker-in-residence at Officina Creativa in Toffia, Italy. She has also directed a digital series for Vice Canada titled “For the Better” garnering several million views online. Most recently, she was part of the Harold Greenberg Fund's Shorts-to-Features program.
