Seckeita Lewis

Cofounder, Writer/Director

I am a writer, director and filmmaker from the South Side of Chicago, now based in Texas. After years of developing stories for brands, I stepped away from Corporate Marketing to co-found Lewis Taylor Productions with my husband, Brandon Lewis, after the release of my first feature film Jerico.

100 follows a man as he is diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and challenged to lose 100 lbs to save his life. He finds unexpected support in a widowed fast food worker who helps him realize there's life outside of the greasy bag. The script is inspired by my husband's real life struggle and features him as the actor who will lose 100 lbs over the course of filming. The script has gone through multiple revisions over the past year, and we think we're close to final with a goal of production this year.

We would love feedback on the script, characters and overall thoughts on this highly ambitious project. However one specific question for us has been the use of two mentors in the script. Does it overshadow Brandon's ownership of the transformation or provide a more complete foundation for his growth as intended? Thank you!! Written by Brandon and Seckeita Lewis.

The video is a teaser of my feature film project, 100, which stars my husband, Brandon whom will live out his struggle with obesity and diabetes on-screen. We shot the first 5 pages of the script to support funding pitches. I'd love feedback on the general reaction to the teaser as well as if you feel empathy for the character.Status : We are currently working to secure funding. Road to 100

I am in development and raising funding for a narrative feature called 100, following a man on his journey to fight diabetes and change his life, while loosing 100 lbs. I created this promo/behind the scenes to tell the who/why/why now of the story since this is based on a true story and the actor, my husband will lose 100 lbs during the film for his own health journey. However now I am considering turning it into a documentary. If I do expand, we would add expert interviews, etc to broaden it. I'd love feedback on this current form of the project on the effectiveness of the story. I'd also love thoughts on the most compelling portion of the story, the focus on Brandon's health journey or if I should add more about the timeline of the film as an added pressure on the weight loss journey in time to film his reveal scene. Thank you for your thoughts!
