I am a graphic designer at the University of Kansas Center for Public Partnerships and Research (KU-CPPR). Since earning my bachelor’s degree in film studies at KU in 2001, I've worked in small-scale television and local commercial production, city government, and now working at my alma mater. As an editor, I've worked on a few low-budget feature films and documentaries made in Kansas. At KU-CPPR I create accessible designs for websites, printed and online materials, and produce videos ranging from short online promotion and marketing material, to short educational films and webinars. Currently I'm collaborating on a documentary about Marla Jackson, a renowned visual artist and quilter, and her exploration the complex stories of freed slaves brought to Lawrence, Kansas after emancipation. It's my first major project in many years, and I'm hopeful to continue developing as a writer, director, and visual artist.
