Beryl Liu

A young woman who is lost and unwilling to live from the past embarks on a midnight quest to Chinatown looking to escape from the present. She meets a mysterious woman from the past who is unbound to the rules of this reality. This elusive trickster crosses boundaries of time and space to whisper words of wisdom -- all the while, the heroine desperately searches for a path to her memories and learns to let go.This is inspired by the Trickster figure from Canadian Indigenous theatre and my constant fascination to creatively explore themes of time, dreams, and reality.
