Aritra Biswas is a filmmaker based in Mumbai, but often finds himself working on stories and in spaces across the world. He graduated with a Master’s in Cinematography from Whistling Woods International. He has been drawn to storytelling for as long as he can remember—using the camera to explore people, places, and the emotions that connect them. His work in nonfiction reflects the quiet poetry of the everyday, drawn from noticing what often goes unseen. Alongside his personal projects, he directs and shoots music videos and advertising films, bringing the same curiosity and care to every frame. His journey began in the advertising industry as an assistant director and editor, but it’s the human side of stories that continues to drive his work today.
