Anastasia is a Ukrainian-born Canadian writer and producer currently based between Toronto and New York. Born in Kyiv and raised in a Reform Ashkenazi community, she attended Aleksandriyska Gymnasium before moving to Vienna to pursue arts education. She later relocated to Vancouver, where she studied film at Simon Fraser University.
She has co-written and produced numerous short films that have been recognized at prestige international festivals, including Tribeca, VIFF, Whistler, NFFTY and Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, and have been featured by Nowness, Director’s Library, Shots Creative, and Film Shortage.
After completing her residency at the Norman Jewison Canadian Film Centre in the summer of 2025, Anastasia is developing her first drama series as a writer, as well as narrative features with directors Kevin Jin Kwan Kim and Nastasja Sedi, while supporting emerging voices through her producing work.
She is also founding member of blok14.
