Akifa Khan

Akifa Khan interns at The Sundance Institute. She is also working on a biopic TV movie of Emma Bowen of the Emma Bowen Foundation. Akifa is a Co-CEO of a production company KHANTENT. She also is an MPAC Hollywood Bureau Fellow where she works on award shows, panels, screenwriters' workshops, and now young leaders summits to help create opportunities for American Muslim artists to expand their network and knowledge. As a screenwriter and producer, she co-created a short film called, Muslim Writers' Room, to tackle the lack of Muslim representation in the industry. Akifa has also produced projects honing in on racism and bigotry. She is a graduate of Emerge California, which teaches minority women to seek and run for political office. She is addicted to coffee and avid binge watcher.
