Haley Bartels

Haley Bartels is a Los Angeles-based screenwriter. Originally from Northern California's wine country, she graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with her BA in English, and, more recently, from the American Film Institute with her MFA in Screenwriting. She has also studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York, as well as at Russia’s premiere school for the dramatic arts, the Moscow Art Theater (МХАТ). A die-hard genre fan, she specializes in the one-hour drama space, with a focus on historical fiction, sci fi, fantasy, and magical realism.
