• Defining clear protagonists and antagonists
• Writing characters who are easy to understand and emotionally complex
• Creating compelling character arcs

Homework:

• Create a character map with short bios, backstories, and each character’s relationship to each other

• Developing your logline
• What makes a great first episode?
• The importance of the first three seconds
• Writing clear and effective dialogue
• Establishing the hook, theme, and stakes
• The requirements of the first 10 episodes
