10 years ago, my grandmother told me about a powerful movement she witnessed. This story was about 10,000 Nigerian women’s fight for justice in 1947. This story is about the Egba Women’s Revolt. Since 2017, I have researched this subject, even going as far pursuing a PhD and produced a short that was nominated for ‘Best Short’ at Film Africa festival.

This documentary interests me because it will document the brilliant organising and solidarity efforts of women that have been rendered invisible in history.
