I wanted to tell a story about a boy trapped in a cell of his own making. The inspiration came from the fact that oftentimes we create our own prisons, and those are the easiest to lock ourselves within. So, I wrote it, turned my room into a witchcraft Rube Goldberg machine, and made a pretty nightmare.
