About this Video
Yours, a proof of concept for a larger body of work, tells the story of a young woman who is unable to reconcile with her meaningless life. She begs God to deliver her from her fears tied to her complicated psychological condition. As someone who has begun exploring religion, I question what draws people to a devotion that steadies them as the ground crumbles beneath their feet. Yours is not only a religious film because I compel all types of audiences to relate to the piece, whether that faith be in a God, an item, or a person.

Kaelyn Grosser– director and producer– is a Sacramento native who moved to Los Angeles at 17 to pursue filmmaking. She will graduate Spring 2026 from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Screen Arts at 19, focusing on film directing and production. Her work centers on complex female characters navigating self-discovery and the wider world. Her films have screened at Pepperdine and Sacramento film societies. She directed Threads, a female-driven coming-of-age story centered on a young woman’s transition out of childhood, and Yours, which explores a woman’s search for faith amid a meaningless existence. She is currently Associate Producer on The Lay Off, a senior thesis film premiering in April 2026. In her career, she aims to direct and produce feature films that highlight the complicated female experience.
